William "Bill" Carr

William E. “Bill” Carr age 70 of Longwell Road Brockway, PA; died on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at his residence. Born on October 10, 1950 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late William E. and Leona Lougee Carr. On August 23, 1969 he was married to Pat Wilson and she survives. Bill and Pat just celebrated their 52nd Wedding Anniversary. Bill and Pat owned and operated Bill Carr Excavating for over 50 years in the Brockway area. He also served as the Road master for Snyder Twp. for many years, as well as the Road Maintenance Supervisor for the Treasure Lake Community for many years. He was protestant by faith. Bill never missed out on attending any of his children’s sporting events, and even served as Brockway’s Junior High Wrestling Coach for 13 years. As grandchildren came along, he never missed out on spending time with them. He was very proud of all his grandchildren.  One of his favorite pastimes was watching western movies and western TV programs, over and over and over again.  In addition to his wife Pat, he is also survived by a son Scott (Lisa) Carr of Lebanon, PA and 2 daughters Chris Ann (Derllin Alcantara) Carr of Reading, PA; Jamie (Tom) Wolfe of Brockway. Bill is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Olivia, Ashlyn, Miranda, Ava, Sophia, Jimmie, Staycia and Wesley. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother. Calling hours will be on Friday, September 3 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 4 at 10:00 AM also at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Nagele officiating. Memorial donations may by made to the Hahne Cancer Center 100 Hospital Avenue DuBois, PA 15801.
