William Kosco Sr. Obituary

William “Bill” Joseph Kosco Sr. was born at the DuBois Hospital in DuBois, PA on January 26, 1934. He lived in Brockway and Brockport in his youth, growing up with his older brother John and younger sister Judy. He graduated from the Horton Twp. High School in 1951. He attended St. Bonaventure in Olean, NY graduating in the class of 1955. Bill was a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1950-1960. He served in Ft. Bragg, NC attending Paratrooper School. Bill met his future wife, Jane Conrad of Winona, MN while stationed in West Germany. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, Bill and Jane were married in St. Tobias Catholic Church in Brockway on May 21, 1960. After briefly attending Penn State University, the two moved to Phoenix, AZ. There they had four children: Paul, Don, William and Joan. They later moved to St. Louis, MO and finally Winona, MN. They were divorced in 1970. Bill was married to Donna Mundt of St. Charles, MN from 1971 to 1977. She was a loving stepmother to his four children. From 1977 onward, Bill lived on the Kosco family homestead in Brockport, PA. He spent his last 2 ½ years in Little Rock, Arkansas in the care of his daughter Joan and her husband Jim and their family. Bill has 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father (Joseph Kosco), mother (Julia Reagle Kosco), sister (Judy Kosco Mullaney), and oldest son (Paul Kosco). There will be no public visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 17 at 9:00 AM at St. Tobias Church in Brockway. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in St. Marys, PA.
