Thomas E. Johnson “Mr. Potato Man” age 68 of Swoope Street Curwensville, PA; went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 25, 2021. Born on November 3, 1952 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late C. Fred and Emma Neen Johnson. He was married to Mary Summerson and she preceded him in death. Tom had been employed at Beckwith Machinery for over 30 Years before he retired. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Tom loved all animals (except groundhogs) and they all loved him back. He is survived by a sister Carol Johnson Keir of Millington, TN; a niece Cindy (Steve) Shiver of Pensacola, FL; a cousin Nancy (Allan) Elensky of Curwensville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Tom is also survived by an extended family of brothers and sisters: Mary Ann (Emery) Swoope, Howard Bayer, Rita Blake, Paul Blowes, Randy Bundy, Kim (Danny) Irwin, Gordon Cutlip, Grover (Darlene) Cutlip and Tammy Cutlip. In addition to his parents and his wife he is also preceded in death by his brother Richard Johnson and infant sister Jean Johnson, as well as by his extended brothers and sisters Marlene Donahue, Dorothy Fleming, Linda Lefort, Charles Bayer and Marilyn Bayer. Friends will be received on Thursday, July 29th from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Curwensville. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Daniel Osterhout officiating. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
