Terry Crawford Obituary

Terry L. Crawford 85, Brockport PA passed away on Thursday January 29, 2026, at Penn Highlands DuBois surrounded by his wife and children.

Terry was born on Easter Sunday, March 24,1940 to parents Jack E. and Hazel Ruth (Engwall) Crawford who preceded him in death.  He is survived by one younger sister Jackie (John) Hoober from Lititz, PA and his nephew Keith (Jenny) Hoober, Austin, TX and niece Krissy (Michael) Canty and their daughter Francesca from Lititz, PA.

Terry lived a life marked by kindness, integrity, generosity and most of all laughter. He made friends wherever he went. He graduated from the Brockway Area High School with the class of 1958, where he was one of the Varsity basketball stars. After high school he joined the Army Reserves while also working at the Brockway Glass Plant for a short time before moving to the main office as an account manager until his retirement.

Terry is survived by his wife Sally A. (Marnati) Crawford, who he married on April 16, 1966, at St. Tobias Catholic Church in Brockway. Everyone knew it was true love when Terry agreed to give up the first day of trout fishing to marry Sally. Terry was a fun and loving father to 5 children: Theresa (Gary) Bisson, Brockport, PA; Lurae (Mark) Benzio, Industry PA; Jack (Tammy) Crawford New Castle, PA; David (girlfriend Christene) Crawford, Brockway, PA; James (Dana) Crawford Brockway, PA. He was also the best Papa to 12 Grandchildren: Ricky (Richele) Lyle, Kayle (Tyler) Shute, Joey (Ashley) Lyle, Anna & Sara Benzio, Cody & Brady Crawford, LeeAnn, Dausen (girlfriend Mari), Megan Crawford, Owen and Noah Crawford. Terry also had 7 Great Grandchildren and welcomed several Step-grand and great grandchildren into his life.

Terry was a member of St. Tobias Catholic Church where he was an usher and involved with several committees. Terry was a member of the Brockway Area Kaimanns, Parson-Marnati American Legion Post 95, Hortons Sportsmans Club, Founding member and officer of the Brockway Credit Union, and a past Treasurer of the Brockway 4th of July Committee. In retirement, Terry enjoyed playing golf on Wednesdays with the “Golf Nuts”.  Until recently, he was actively playing pool at the Brockwayville Depot and with the Horton Sportsmans Pool Team.  Terry was a loyal Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirate fan and also cheered on the Penn State Nittany Lions. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and genuinely loved the outdoors.  He was passionate about going to his camp and making memories with family and friends that would often gather there.

Terry found the most joy being around his family. He is also survived by two sister in-laws, Deanna (Marnati) Starr and Margaret (Marnati) Buffone Burke as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Everyone will greatly miss Terry or “TC” as he was referred to by many.
