Teresa M. Pisoni

Teresa Pisoni age 95 a long time Brockway, PA resident passed away on Sunday July 24, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on April 26, 1927 in Portage, PA; she was the daughter of he late Raymond and Catherine Lidwell McGough. On April 30, 1949 she was married to Steve Pisoni Sr. and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2010.  Though a homemaker at heart, Teresa entered the workforce as a welder for Bethlehem Steel during WWII. She then pressed silk for Paris Cleaners before joining Brockway Glass, where she retired after 24 years. She was a devout member of St. Tobias Roman Catholic Church, the Rosary Society, and Catholic Daughters of America Chapter 890. For Teresa, prayer was the foundation of daily life; her entire family is grateful for her lifetime of devotion and countless prayers for guidance, healing, and strength. Teresa also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Always smiling, she built a warm and welcoming home where her large family enjoyed holiday gatherings and made thousands of fond memories. Teresa is survived by four daughters, Nancy (Allen) Reed of Brockway, Stephanie (Walter, dec.) Beimel of Kersey, Marian Pisoni of Brockway, Catherine (Louis) Taube of Brockway; one son Thomas (Tony) Pisoni of Brockway; and daughter-in-law Joyce Pisoni of Brockway. Brother Richard and sister Joan. Eleven grandchildren, Theresa Edgar, Irene Holjencin, Bridget Lagano, Daniel Reed, Todd Beimel, Meredith Pisoni, Jessica Carlson, Megan Pisoni, Kevin Pisoni, Bradley Taube and Thomas Pisoni; 28 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Teresa was preceded in death by a son Steve Pisoni Jr.; five brothers, Bernard, Joseph, William, Thomas and Daniel; five sisters Mary, Margaret, Rita, Kathleen, and Mary Lou; one grandchild Michelle Beimel and an infant son Daniel Benjamin Pisoni. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 29 at 10:00 AM at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Fr. John Detisch presiding and Msgr. Charles Kaza con-celebrating.  Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery in Brockway. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Teresa Pisoni to St. Tobias Church 1135 Hewitt Street Brockway, PA 15824 or DuBois Central Catholic School 200 Central Christian Road DuBois, PA 15801.
