Shirley Martini Obituary

Shirley Louise Lundberg Martini age 88 of Meadow Street Brockway, PA; died on Tuesday April 30, 2024 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on January 19, 1936 in Brockway, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Welsh Lundberg. She was married to Robert T. “Bob” Martini and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2020. Retired, Shirley had been employed as a secretary at the Ross Leffler School of Conservation, owned and operated the “Rover Room” with her husband on main street Brockway in the early 1970’s, and retired as a secretary at the Brockway Glass Corporate office also in Brockway. Shirley was a member at St. Tobias Church and also was a member of the Rosary Society. She enjoyed walking, reading, and especially taking trips to the beach. Her greatest joy however came from large holiday gatherings and just taking care of her entire family from her own, to her grandchildren, to her siblings and their families. She is survived her children, Denise, Bob (Marianne), and Tom (Karen) Martini; her grandchildren Bobby, Benji, Braden, Austin, Sydney and Kyle; her great-grandchildren Kairys and Brevyn; sisters Jean (Bud) Grieneisen, Dorothy Carlson both of Brockway, Patty (Glenn) Davis of DuBois, Barb (Dave) Steele, Donna (Steve) Rowe, Debbie (John) Cantafio, Tammy (Ken) Inzana all of Brockway and a brother Bob Lundberg also of Brockway. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a brother Pete Lundberg and an infant brother Billy. There will be no public visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 3 at 11:00 AM at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Fr. John Detisch presiding and Msgr. Charles Kaza Con-Celebrating. Immediately following Mass all are invited to a Funeral Brunch at St. Tobias Center directly beside the church. Burial will be in St. Tobias Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the Aaron Cantafio Life Changing Scholarship C/O Brockway Elementary School Office 40 North Street Brockway, PA 15824 Attention: Stephanie Benson or St. Tobias Church 1135 Hewitt Street Brockway, PA 15824.
