Shirley J. Billock

Shirley J. Billock age 89 of Route 219 Brockway , PA; (Crenshaw) died on Monday January 31, 2022 at her home she loved so much. Born on January 5, 1933 in Ridgway, PA; she was the daughter of the late Everett and Ada Duttry Taylor. She was married to Lawrence “Bud” Billock on November 30, 1949 and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2008. Retired, Shirley had been employed at Brockway Glass as a Selector/Packer for 38 years. She was Methodist by faith. Shirley loved feeding the birds, growing flowers, picnics on the holidays with family and friends, reading the comics especially Snoopy, and being with her pets. But more than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Shirley is survived by 2 sons: Kevin Billock and his fiancé Karen Stine of Brockway; Brad (Lisa) Billock also of Brockway; 1 daughter: Lucinda (John) Shagena of Reynoldsville, PA; 9 grandchildren: Dustin Billock, Darrin Billock, Ryan Billock, Ann Jeanette St. Clair, Brandon Billock, Laura Shagena, Temujin Shagena, Rhonda Blose and Laurie Stratton.  She is also survived by 10 step-grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a son Doug Billock, 4 sisters: Evelyn Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor, Gertrude Didonato, Gladys Amitrone; a brother Randy Taylor and a grandson Kevin Billock Jr. Calling hours will be on Thursday, February 3 from 2PM - 4PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.  A Funeral Service will  immediately follow at 4PM with Pastor Dave Nagele officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
