Ronald “Ronnie” Delia formally of (Glasshurst) Brockport, PA; Walked into the open arms of Jesus onWednesday September 6, 2023. Ronnie was born on “Groundhog Day” along with his twin brother Richard 72 years ago, he was the second to be born and was considered “the shadow”. Ronnie was the son of the late William “Bill” and Louise “Toots” Delia. He was born with cerebral palsy and had many surgeries to correct his legs but was never fully able to walk. He still managed to have a very full and happy life. As a young boy he was homeschooled, his father handmade a chalkboard for the teachers to use. That chalkboard is still being used today by his great nieces and nephews. Later he attended the D.T. Watson Home where he graduated high school. He also spent many summers at Camp Lend-a-Hand to enjoy fresh air and summer activities. Ronnie liked to do crafts in his younger years working on a loom, hooking rugs and making hats. BUT his favorite thing to do was spin 45’s on his record player. He knew every record, every band, every song title and the length of time of each song! He was very well taken care of by his parents, but the last 5 years he resided at Highland View in Brockway. He loved it there and all the attendants, and somehow picked up the nickname “Scrappy”. Ronnie is survived by his twin Richard and wife Brenda “Bo” Delia, a sister Judith Billock and nieces and nephews: Rick (Casie) Delia; Dawna (Tom) Ceriani; Robert “Muggs” Delia, Annjeanette (Joel) St. Clair and Brandon Billock. Great nieces and nephews: Jenna (Ben); Kayla, Tommy; Ricky; Zack; Braelyn and Kyler. We have been so blessed to have had Ronnie for all these years….
He will be fondly remembered for his big smile and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
