Robert "Bob" Aquilino

Robert “Bob” Aquilino age 57 of Philadelphia, PA; died on Monday August 15, 2022 at the Roxbourough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Born on August 21, 1964 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late Joseph and Noreen “Renee” Drivas  Aquilino. “Appy” as he was called was a 1982 graduate of DuBois Central Catholic School. After high school he furthered his education at Gannon University and graduated with a dual bachelors degree in Computer Science and Business Administration. He then started with INS in Philadelphia which was later reorganized  after the events of September 11, 2001 as the Department of Homeland Security. He was close to retiring as a Regional Lead IT Specialist. He was Catholic by faith and was an avid sports fan.  He enjoyed cheering for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He was very well known for his wealth of knowledge in many fields…for example: World Wide Wrestling, Music, Movies, and all other sports. He frequented Main Street of Maniyunk and supported the privately owned business, especially Main Street Records, The Bayou and Lucky’s. He had spent many hours golfing, trivia and shooting darts with many friends.  He is survived by a sister Lisa (Loney) Shepler of Brockway; a niece Abby Shepler and nephews Austin and Owen Shepler. Calling hours will be on Sunday, August 21 from 1-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway; and again from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Monday August 22. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 10:00 AM also at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will be in St. Tobias Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the DuBois Area Catholic School 200 Central Christian Road DuBois, Pa 15801.
