Robert L. Hoover

Robert L. Hoover age 82 of Westville Road Brockway, PA; passed away peacefully at his home after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Born on December 3, 1939 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late Ernest Hoover and Kathleen Taylor. Bob was a 1957 graduate of the DuBois High School. On December 14, 1974 he was married to Rosemary Askey and she survives. Retired, Bob worked at Jackson China for 30 years in various positions over the years. He also worked at Delco Tableware and Beaver Falls China as a sales consultant. He was a member of the Beechtree Union Church where he found Christ. Bob loved the game of golf, his dogs and his family. In addition to his wife he is also survived by 2 sons: Dale (Michele) Hoover of Treasure Lake; Dean Hoover of DuBois, PA; 2 brothers: Gary (Donna) Hoover of Havertown, PA; Ernest “Skip” (Philiz) Hoover of New Jersey; a sister Jeanne (Burton) Mowrey also of DuBois; 2 granddaughters: Erica (Troy) Wolfgang of Reynoldsville; Lindsay (Eric) Wolfgang of Treasure Lake; 2 great granddaughters: Aliza and Kylie Wolfgang; 3 great grandsons: Jeremy, Landon and Liam Wolfgang and a sister-in-law Agnes Hoover of Brockway. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews he loved dearly. In addition to his father and his mother he is also preceded in death by a step-mother Mildred “Mickey” Hoover; a brother James Hoover and his Golden Girls Lacy and Sadie. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday June 17 at 1:30 PM at the Beechtree Union Church with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in the Beechwoods Cemetery.
