Robert E. Haslett

Robert E. Haslett, 89, of Brockway died Sunday Nov 2, 2014 at Highland View Healthcare in Brockway.  He was born May 20, 1926 in Ridgway the son of Clayton and Flora Grubbs Haslett.  He was married to Lula McDonald who preceded him in death on Sept. 22, 2005.  He was a retired yard crew foreman at Brockway Glass Co.  He served in  the U.S. Navy In WW 2.

He is survived by two daughters Bonnie (John) Genevro of Brockway and Sister Michele Healy SSJ of Erie, Pa, three sons Dave (Mary) Healy of Maryland, Bill (Denise) Healy of New Mexico, and Steve (Noemi) Healy of Hazelton, Pa.  He is survived by 11 grandchildren and was especially close to his three grandsons, Todd O'Leary, Josh Work, and Scott Healy.  These three grandsons had a special piece of Bob's heart.  He was preceded in death by two brothers Gene and Garland.  His special little dachshund, Cookie, was by his side for fourteen years.

He was a member of of the Heath Township Sportsman.  He enjoyed being outdoors, playing golf, hunting and fishing.  He especially enjoyed his fishing trips to Lake Erie.  Bob will be missed by everyone for his good sense of humor and always making people around him laugh.  He was always there to help anyone who needed it.  He helped in the construction of the Wildwood Cemetery Chapel.

Family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 A.M.to 12:00 P.M. at Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12:00 P.M. at Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home with his daughter, Sister Michele Healy SSJ, officiating.  Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Brockway, Pa.  Full Military service will be conducted by Parson-Marnati American Legiion Post 95
