Rev. Robert F. Siple Jr. age 88 of Sandstone Drive Falls Creek, PA; died on Friday November 10, 2023 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. Born on August 7, 1935 in Reynoldsville, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Sarah Brocious Siple Sr. He was married to Annett Johnson and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2001. He then was married to Angeline Grasso and she survives. Retired, Bob’s employment began as a crane operator at Kaiser Aluminum in Erie, PA. Listening to Gods calling he became a minister in the United Methodist Church and after over 45 years of providing pastoral care and services he retired from the Evangelical Church in Brookville, PA. Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in both the Korean and the Vietnam Wars. He was a member of the Reynoldsville Methodist Church and Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion in Brockway where he served as it’s Chaplin. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He also was a member of the NRA and the North American Hunting Club. In addition to his wife he is also survived by 5 sons: Thomas Siple of Latrobe, PA; Richard “Rick” Siple of Reynoldsville; Karl (Brenda) Siple of Dawson, PA; Donald “Glen” (Shelly) Siple of Connellsville, PA; Russell Siple of Falls Creek and 1 daughter Melissa Horner of Owensdale, PA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by an infant son Raymond C. Siple, Brothers Tom, Art, Harold and Gary Siple and sisters Donna Neal, Martha Smith and Betty Lindenpitz. Visitation will be on Tuesday November 14 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway, and again from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Reynoldsville Methodist Church. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Becky Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Reynoldsville Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion burial detail.
