Rachel Ruth Hepler

Rachel Ruth Hepler age 82 of Zola Street Kersey, PA; died on Monday, May 26, 2025 at her residence. Born on December 3, 1942 in Brockway, PA; she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Rachel Teeter Runyan. On October 29, 1960 she was married to Jack Hepler and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2019. Rachel was a homemaker. She was a member of the Brockway Church of God, and was a member of the Dagus Mines American Legion Post #511. She enjoyed going for walks, bird watching, working crossword puzzles, and going to her grandson’s motocross races. She especially enjoyed going for rides in the car with her special friend George Gornati. Rachel is survived by daughters Joyce (Mark) Solada also of Kersey; Pam (Glenn) Leithner of Canyon Country, CA; sons Gary (Donna) Hepler of Kersey; Jack (Barb) Hepler of Ridgway, PA; a sister Geraldine Pisarcik of Brockway; and brothers Melvin Runyan also of Kersey and Rich (Eileen) Runyan of Brockport. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Jessica, Jack, Kelsi, Holly, Chance, Becca, Ryan, Levi, Clay and Jake and 3 great grandsons Joshua, Douglas and Malcom. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a brother Lawrence Runyan and a sister Gloria Butz. There will be no public visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at the Brockway Church of God on Friday, June 13 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Dave Nagele officiating. Burial will be in the Mountain Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
