Phyllis A. Dush

Phyllis A. Dush age 88 of Brockway, PA; currently a resident at Highland View Health Care, died on Saturday April 15, 2023. Born on July 14, 1934 in Munderf, PA; she was the daughter of the late Grover and Nellie Armstrong Kemmerer. She was married to Ernest Dush and he preceded her in death on October 5, 2007. Retired, Phyllis had been employed as a cafeteria worker at the Ridgway School District for many years. She attended the Crenshaw Community Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. Phyllis is survived by a daughter Paula Hodgdon of Ridgway, PA; a sister Agnes Froberg of Maryland; a brother Robert (Mary) Kemmerer also of Ridgway; a granddaughter Ashely Renee of Falls Creek, PA;  a grandson Walter Hooten of Reynoldsville, PA and a great granddaughter Lilly Anderson. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a brother Monte Kemmerer. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, April 19 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Faith Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Ott Cemetery in Ridgway.
