Nathan was born on September 8, 1952, in Cuba, New York. He was the son of Nathan Thomas Burdick, Sr. and Laura Elizabeth (Baham) Burdick. They preceded him in death.
He graduated from Jeff Tech before joining the Army. After leaving the military, he became a volunteer firefighter with the Sandy Hose Company Station 36. He worked and retired from Owens-Illinois Plant 19 (formerly Brockway Glass).
He is survived by his wife, Patty (Allen) Burdick, who he married in 1977, along with his three children: Jaime (Shawn) Russell of Campbellsburg, Indiana; Crystal (Dan) Hibbard of DuBois, Pennsylvania; and John (Brandi) Burdick of DuBois, Pennsylvania. He was the grandfather to Jonathan Burdick, Makana Kuhn, Ethan Burdick, Ava Hibbard, Dustin Stiver, Logan Russell, Kristina Schell, Chelsea Cahill, and Harley Riley. Nathan enjoyed spoiling his dogs, arguing playfully with his late mother-in-law, Edith Fletcher, drinking his Genesee beer while watching Perry Mason and yelling at the commercials for trying to sell him something stupid. He loved his family and cherished his wife.
He was preceded in death by four brothers (Joe Adams, Melvin Burdick, George Burdick and Lester Burdick) and one sister (Tina Foster Sikes).
There will be a Memorial Service and visitation held at the Salvation Army at 119 S Jared Street, DuBois, Pennsylvania, on September 9, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the service following. Sister-in-law Captain Kathy Allen will lead the memorial service.
