Nancy A. Buffington

Nancy A. Buffington age 81 of Parolari Road Brockport, PA; died on Saturday February 25, 2023 at UPMC Memorial in York, PA. Born on July 19, 1941 in DuBois, PA she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Edna Bush Huffman. On July 6, 1963 she was married to Edward Buffington and he preceded her in death on August 15, 1995. Retired, Nancy had been employed at Rockwell International in DuBois for many years, was a caregiver to many local residents over the years and also served as the Horton Twp. Tax Assessor for many years. She was a member of the Brockport United Methodist Church. Nancy was a lifetime member of the Horton Sportsmen’s Club, the Orient Club and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo and pogo on her computer. She is survived by 2 sons: Steven (Sandra) Buffington of Spring Grove, PA; Jeffrey (Denise) Buffington of  Brockport; a brother Robert (Darlene) Huffman of Grampian, PA; 7 grandchildren: Aaron, Adam, Jared, Jenna, John, Nick and Frank; 9 great grandchildren: William, Jameson, Morgan, Mariah, Kaleb, Kylee, Jace, Arora and Gunner. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a daughter Lori Buffington Pisarchick, a son David Buffington, a brother Richard Alan Huffman, a sister Florence Birch, a grandson Kyle Rossman, and infant grandchild and an infant great grandchild. Calling hours will be on Friday, March 3 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday March 4 at 10:30 AM also at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Nagele officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens at Ridgway. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org
