Matthew A. Welsh

Matthew A. Welsh age 32 of Route 219 Brockport, PA; died on Friday December 24, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on April 5, 1989 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late George M. Welsh and Mary S. Chatfield Myers who survives and lives in DuBois, PA. Matt was employed at Contact Technologies in St. Marys. He was Methodist by faith, and was a member of the Horton Twp. Sportsmen’s Club. His greatest joy in life was being a father and spending time with his son. He is survived by his mother Mary S. (Timothy Porrin) Myers of DuBois; a son Alex Welsh of Sykesville; a sister Carrie (Tim Reesman) Welsh of Reynoldsville; and a brother Shawn (Corrie) Welsh also of Reynoldsville. Matt is also survived by 4 nieces: Eryka, Danielle, Desiree and Zoey and 3 great nieces Isabella, Raelynn and Raven. In addition to his father he is also preceded in death by a great niece Genesis Smith. Calling hours will be on Friday, December 31 from 2PM to 4PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held at 4PM with Pastor Dave Nagele officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
