Mark E. Verne

Mark E. Verne, age 57, a 7th Avenue Brockway, PA resident, died on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at his residence. Born on March 25, 1967 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late Thomas Verne and Sylvia Regotti Verne who survives and lives in Brockway. On June 13, 1992 he was married to Krista Lee who survives. Mark was employed as a Machine Operator at Beaver Meadows Creamery in DuBois. He was Catholic by faith. Mark was a very generous man who was willing to jump in and help anyone, even complete strangers, with anything. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife, his children and his grandchildren. He also enjoyed taking a cat nap watching a NASCAR race. In addition to his mother and his wife he is also survived by a daughter Kara (Jeremy) Allen of Sykesville, PA; sons Zach and Marc Verne both of Brockway; a sister Lisa (Don) Moore and brothers Paul (Penny) Verne and Thomas (Melinda) Verne all of Brockway. He is also survived by two grandchildren Jackson and Kessa Allen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 8th from 2 PM to 8 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 9th at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home with Msgr. Charles Kaza officiating. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE) 204 Sigma Drive, RIDC Park Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
