Mark J. Reefer

Mark James Reefer, age 72 of 82 Mars Street, Brockport, PA died at home under hospice care on July 26, 2023. He was the son of the late Lauren J. and Frieda M. Reefer. On May 20, 1972 he married Ruth Ellen Rogos. She survives. He graduated from Thiel College in 1972 with a B.A. degree in sociology and from Youngstown State University in 1979 with a M.S. Ed. While living in Ohio, Mark worked at Trumbull Co. Children’s Services in foster care. After moving to Brockport in 1979, he worked at the Clearfield-Jefferson Community Mental Health Center as the Director of Partial Hospitalization. In addition to his wife, Mark is survived by his daughter, Mallory Marie Reefer; two sisters, Gayle (Richard) Summerville and Kim (Phil) Hirsch; 3 nephews and 3 nieces. Respecting Mark’s wishes, there will be no funeral nor memorial services.
