Mario J. Genevro

Mario J. Genevro age 77 of Stevenson Hill Road Falls Creek, PA; died on Wednesday April 27, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on January 3, 1945 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late Riccardo and Mary Cristini Genevro. On February 12, 1966 he was married to Marla J. Hinderliter and she preceded him in death on April 21, 2015. Retired, Mario was employed at Brockway Glass in the print shop and later as the plant courier/mailman for over 40 years. He was a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway. He also was a member of the National Rifle Association. Mario’s family was the absolute most important aspect of his life. Everything revolved around being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Nothing made him happier than attending the many sporting events and activities over the years. He is survived by 3 daughters: Danette (Richard) Foradori of Brockport; Angela (Mark) Bennett and Kristen (Donald Smith) Genevro both of Falls Creek; a son Bradley (Kathryn) Genevro of El Paso, TX; 2 sisters: Irene Koval of Erie, PA; Josephine “Pena” Freemer of Brockport; 3 brothers: Frank (Anita) Genevro also of Brockport; Geno (Joni) Genevro; Tino (Eileen) Genevro both of Brockway; 14 grandchildren: Anthony Genevro, Sophia Genevro, Isabella Genevro, Gabriel Genevro, Cassie Foradori, Jacob Foradori, Tyler Foradori, Zachary Foradori, Mario Smith, Ava Smith, Nathan Bennett, Marcus Bennett, Emily Bennett and Nicholas Bennett. In addition to his parents and his wife he is also preceded in death by a sister Enes Pinge; 3 brothers: Fino, Jimmy and Bruno Genevro; an infant sister Bruna and a grandson Matthew Foradori. Calling hours will be on Sunday, May 1 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday May 2 at 10 AM at St. Tobias Church also in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
