Louise B. Castiglione

Louise B. Castiglione age 99 of Bond Street Brockway, PA; died on Monday October 10, 2022 at Penn Highlands Brookville. Born on December 18, 1922 in Brockway, she was the daughter of the late Tony and Elizabeth Paruso Bruno. She was married to Samuel S. Castiglione and he preceded her in death on April 24, 2006. Retired, Louise had been employed as a Packer at Brockway Glass for 17 years, and later went on to work in the cafeteria at the Brockway High School for another 17 years. She was a lifelong member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway where she served as a Eucharist Minister and was a member of the Rosary Society. Louise also was a member of Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Sons of Italy Club and the Little R Club. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, baking and most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by daughters Betty (Peter) Brumberg and Susan (Steve) Wolfe both of Brockway; sons Greg (Cindy) Castiglione also of Brockway and Sam Castiglione of Randallstown, MD and a brother Andrew Bruno of Brockway. Louise is also survived by grandchildren Pete (Katie) Brumberg, Justin (Megan) Brumberg, Sarah (Eric) Wymer, Gina Castiglione, Maggie (Jake) Harriger, Lucas (Pip) Brumberg, Brittany (Zack) Beers, Ben Castiglione and great grandchildren Cooper, Oliver and Stella Brumberg, Chloe and Logan Brumberg, Ava and Scarlett Wymer, Noah and Emilyn Johnson, Emma, Jocelyn and Brice Harriger, Camri and Lawson Brumberg, Leah and Joseph Castiglione, Addison and Jarett Beers. In addition to her parents and husband she is also preceded in death by 2 brothers Louis and Carl Bruno, a grandson Gregory Castiglione, a granddaughter Emily Castiglione and a daughter in law Marsha Castiglione. Calling hours will be on Thursday October 13 from 6 PM-8 PM and again on Friday October 14 from 2 PM-4 PM and 6 PM-8 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 15 at 10:00 AM at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Fr. John Detisch presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Tobias Church 1135 Hewitt Street Brockway, PA 15824.
