Lorraine C. “Lorri” Bish age 67 of Brockport, PA; died on Friday July 12, 2024 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Lorraine Cecile Lechien Bish (Lorri) was born, the youngest of five children of Bernice and Fred Lechien, Sr., on May 8th, 1957 in St. Marys. PA. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and St. Marys Area High School, graduating in 1975. Soon after high school, she met the love of her life, Victor C. Bish, who at the time, owned a bar down in the 'Valley.' He taught her to hunt and fish and cherish life. They married in Las Vegas on August 30, 1985.
Lorri and Vic lived in Colorado for some years, but returned to Pennsylvania to be back among his family and spend their remaining years at the home they converted from his family's hunting camp in Brockport. Sadly, Vic passed away on October 10. 2013. Lorri continued working at Clarion Sintered Metal until her retirement in 2020.
After Vic's death, Lorri created a new family of friends, whom she visited regularly at two of the clubs not far from her home. She cherished those friends and the life she lived until the day she left us.
Lorri is survived by a brother Charles “Chuck” Lechien of White Bluff, TN; a sister Mary Louise “Mary Lou” Lechien Imbraguglio of Hammond, Louisiana; numerous nieces and nephews among them Scot (Danielle) Abrahamson and Scott (Denise) Bish; a step-daughter sherry (Gordon) Jesberger several step-grandchildren, and her late brother’s daughter Anne Lechien Barton of Bloomsburg, PA who was blessed with sharing a great day of spreading sister Linda’s ashes just a few days before Lorri’s death. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved spouse Victor, her oldest brother Fred Lechien Jr; sister Linda Lechien Powell Grady and a step-son Roger Bish.
Family and friends may gather at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway on Thursday, July 18 from 6 PM to 7 PM. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will be in the Mountain Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
