Lois L. Bennett

Lois L. Bennett age 86 of Keen Court Drive DuBois, PA; died on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on September 28, 1937 in Queens, NY; she was the daughter of the late Walter and Edna Fredrickson Geer. In October of 1955 she was married to Vincent Bennett and he survives. Retired, Lois had been employed at Weyerhaeuser for several years. She was a member of the Ridgway Church of the Nazarene. Lois in her younger years was active in the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking. In addition to her husband she is also survived by a son Richard (Deborah) Bennett of Dysart, PA; sisters Geraldine (Melvin) Runyan of Coal Hollow and Diane (Larry Terwilliger) Northrop of Smethport, PA; and 2 granddaughters Ashley Bennett and Lauren Clark. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by 5 children and a brother Walter Geer. There will be no public visitation. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday October 13 at 2:00 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway with Evangelist Paul Morelli officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridge Cemetery in Kersey. Memorial donations may be made to the Elk Co. Children & Youth Services for the Foster Parenting Program.
