Leland C. Foeks

Leland C. Foeks I age 85 of North 4th Street DuBois, PA; died on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on May 28, 1936 in Brockway, PA; he was the son of the late Carl and Rachel Smith Foeks. He was married to Patricia L. Hann and she preceded him in death on March 24, 2003. He then married Alda M. Matthews and she survives. Retired, Lee had been employed at Brockway Glass as a Mould Maker. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion in Brockway. Lee was a member of the Tri-County Church in DuBois. He enjoyed anything to do with cars especially racing, flea markets and yard sales. Lee had a particular quality to him in that he never in his life met a stranger. He could talk to anybody, about anything, anywhere his journeys in life took him. In addition to his wife Alda, he is also survived by a son: Leland “Chip” (Cheryl) Foeks II of Dover, PA; 5 daughters: Linda (Blaine) Clark of DuBois, PA; Lynn D’Angelo of Tyrone, PA; Lisa (David) Delp of Brockway; Jennifer (Bob) Giese of Hendersonville, TN; Lori Wright also of Brockway; a step-son James E. (Dawn) Smith Jr. of Clearfield, PA; a sister Vondell Siple of Brockway; a brother Forrest (Rita) Foeks of East Palestine, Ohio; 14 grandchildren: Amanda Zazworsky, Katie Maddox, Rebecca McDermid, Lindsey Howard, Seth Wright, Carlee Thomas, Kiley Smith, Blaine Olivia Futch, Victoria Wood, Danielle Elicker, Noah D’Angelo, Riley D’Angelo, Paige Giese and Karl Giese. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his first wife he is also preceded in death by a sister Elinor Greta Pickrell and 2 brothers: Dale and Brent Foeks. Calling hours will be on Thursday February 24th  from 5PM to 8PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway and from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM on Friday, February 25th at the Tri County Church: DuBois Campus. A Funeral Service will follow at 11AM with Pastor Chris Trethewey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Beechwoods Cemetery at Falls Creek.
