Joseph M. Pisoni

Joseph M. Pisoni age 85 a resident at Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont, PA; died on Thursday, June 19, 2025.  Born on September 23, 1939 in Brockway, PA; he was the son of the late Joseph and Lucy Ambrosia Pisoni. On August 28, 1971 he was married to Judith A. “Judy” Counasse and she preceded him in death on January 1, 2024. Retired, Joe was employed as a Guidance Counselor for most of 20 years in the Brocton Central School District in Brocton, NY. Joe was involved in youth athletics as well. He was a past basketball coach at DuBois Central Catholic School and was a member of the PIAA serving as an umpire for high school baseball. While a resident of Brocton, he was an active member of the community, and served as a town trustee. He is a member of Holy Family Parish in Oakmont, Pa; and was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by 3 daughters Jessica Musser of Sinking Springs, PA; Jennifer (Gerry) Wyatt of Richland, WA; Justine Vaughn of Denver, CO; 2 sons Julian (Laura) Pisoni of Oakmont, PA and Joseph (Ruie) Pisoni of Chesapeake, VA. He is also survived by a sister Joanne (Christian) Amoroso of Green Valley, AZ and 12 grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 26 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 27 at 1:30 PM at St. Tobias Church also in Brockway with Fr. Brandon Feikles presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
