John D. Nichols

John D. Nichols age 66 of Cemetery Hill Brockway, PA; died on Friday November 8, 2024 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on June 7, 1958 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late Francis and Catherine Pierce Nichols Sr. On November 18, 1978 he was married to Pamela Mancuso and she survives. Retired, John had been employed for over 20 years as a contractor doing home remodeling and he had also worked at Sensus Meters in DuBois. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching old western shows on tv, and riding his Harley. John also was an avid dirt track racing enthusiast and could be found at any of the local dirt tracks enjoying the action.   In addition to his wife Pam, he is also survived by a daughter Brittany (Kris) Smith of Brookville, PA; 2 sons John (Misty) Nichols and Scott (Brandi Anderson) Nichols both of Brockway; 2 sisters Shirley (Bob) Chamberlin of St. Marys, PA; Diane (Wayne) Tubbs of Clearfield, PA and a brother Raymond (Chris) Nichols also of Brockway; grandchildren Damian Nichols, Abbey (Daniel) Coon, Maddison Anderson, Grant Nichols, Linkin Nichols, Carter Nichols, Kennedy Smith and Kamden Smith. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a 2 brothers Francis Nichols Jr. and Charles Nichols. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 15 at 11:00 AM at the Lighthouse Community Church in Brockway with Rev. Dr. Victor Baxter officiating.  Burial will be in St. Tobias Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lighthouse Community Church 732 Main Street Brockway, PA 15824 or the charity of the donor’s choice.
