Joan Y. Coder

Joan Y. Coder age 89 of Keystone Road Brockport, PA; died on Tuesday January 12, 2021. Born on February 26, 1931 in Ridgway, PA; she was the daughter of the late Paul and Jennie Richards Kline. She was married to Wade N. Coder Sr. and he preceded her in death on April 1, 2015. Joan was a member of the Lanes Mills United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, camping and sports in general. She always enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren’s sporting events when they were growing. up. She is survived by 2 sons: Wade N. (Aimee) Coder Jr of Ridgway, PA; Roger (Tina) Coder of Turtle Point, PA; grandchildren: Brianna Coder, Lydia Coder, Brandee Coder, Clyde Coder, Brian Coder, Todd Coder, Eric Coder, Kevin Coder and Jason Coder. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and a grandson Cody Coder.  There will be no public visitation. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday January 15 at 11AM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Bob Trask officiating. Social distancing protocols will be in place and masks are required. Burial will follow in the Brockport Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lanes Mills United Methodist Church 362 Rattlesnake Road Brockway, Pa 15824 or to the Charity of the donors choice.
