Jean Patrica Smith

Jean Patrica Smith age 90 of E. 2nd Avenue DuBois, PA; died on Tuesday February 8, 2022 at her residence. Born on December 6, 1931 in Shawmut, PA; she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lena Mann Taylor. Jean was married in 1958 to Donald P. Smith and her preceded her in death in January 1987. Retired, She had been employed at Brockway Glass in the Billing and Adjustments Department.  Jean was a wealth of family history and information. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and was a Penn State and Steeler football fan. She also enjoyed attending DuBois High School home football games. Jean is survived by 2 sons: David Smith and Donald Smith both of DuBois; 2 brothers: Mike “Mick” (Fran) Taylor of Clearfield, PA; Pat (Lois) Taylor of Brockway; 2 granddaughters: Caitlyn Smith and Kendra Smith both of Phoenix, Arizona as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by 2 sisters: Mary Saunders and Gladys Mango as well as 6 brothers: Eddie Taylor, Jim Taylor, Jack Taylor, Bill Taylor, Boyd Taylor and Charlie Taylor. Calling hours will be on Monday February 21st from 2-4 PM and 6–7:30 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:30 PM with Msgr. Charles Kaza officiating. Burial will be in the Morningside Cemetery in DuBois.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
