James Richard Reed age 90 an Overlook Drive DuBois, PA resident, formerly a Rattlesnake Road Brockway, PA resident, died on Monday March 30, 2026 at his residence. Born on May 21, 1935 in Lowville, NY; he was the son of the late Leonard and Eleanor Edick Reed. On June 11, 1960 he was married to Mary Adams and she survives. Retired, Jim had been employed in the Paper Industry, starting at St. Regis in Watertown, NY; then at Georgia-Pacific in Lyons Falls, NY; and finally at Penn Tech Papers in Johnsonburg, PA. Jim served in the U.S. Navy in Japan during the Korean War, and was a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and watching NASCAR racing. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a daughter Elizabeth (Lawrence) Alexander of Reynoldsville, PA; a son Timothy (Sally) Reed of Encinitas, CA; grandchildren Dana (Mark) Deroba, Rachel (Alex) Nutter, Hunter Reed and RaeLynn Reed, and two great grandchildren Elle and Kate Deroba. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by sisters Sally Vary and Nancy Phillips. There will be no public visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 16 at 10:30 AM at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will be in the Beechwoods Cemetery.
