James L. Onoratti age 80 of South Street Brockway, PA; died on Tuesday November 7, 2023 at his residence. Born on February 23, 1943 in Brockway, he was the son of the late Felix and Louise Salizzoni Onoratti. Retired, he had been employed at the former McDowell Mfg. in DuBois as its President. Jim always had a love for Brockway and was very active for most of his life in the community. He was the first president and a charter member of the Brockway Area Kaimanns, was the Mayor of Brockway for many years and served on Boro Council, was a long time member of the Recreational Board, past member and financial officer of the Brockway Volunteer Hose Company and was a life member and officer of the Brockway Sportsmen’s Club. His ability to guide and govern was second to none. Jim also enjoyed hunting in his younger years and was a season ticket holder and avid Penn State Football fan. He is survived by a brother Earl Onoratti of Warren, PA; nieces Marlene (Christopher) Pisarcik and Shari (Bill) Wolfe; nephews Joseph (Tammy) Onoratti Jr. and David Onoratti; his life long and dependable friend Mark Adams as well as several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother and sister in law Joseph M. (Barbara) Onoratti Sr. an infant brother David Michael Onoratti. All services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Tobias Cemetery in Brockway. Memorial donations may be made to the Brockway Area Ambulance Association PO Box 222 Brockway, PA 15824 or to the charity of the donors choice.
