Ileen M. Moyer

Ileen M. Moyer age 94 a life long Brockway resident, currently a resident at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, PA; died on Tuesday August 17, 2021 at the Manor surrounded by her family.  Born on September 22, 1926 in Brockway, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen Freemer Pisarchick Sr. Ileen was married to Lyle R. Moyer and he preceded her in death on January 22, 1996. Retired, she had been employed at Brockway Glass as a selector/packer for 47 years. She was member at St. Tobias in Brockway and was a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and walking along the shores of Lake Erie where she and Lyle owned a home. But the most important thing in her life was always spending time with her family. She is survived by a daughter Cindy (Mike) Gelnette of Brockway and a son Ray (Alisa Silverman) Moyer also of Brockway; 5 grandchildren: Matt (Kim) Gelnette, Dann (Georganne Uplinger) Gelnette, Amanda (David) Perez, Allison Moyer and Andrea (James) Kline as well as 5 great grandchildren: Derek Gelnette, Raegan Gelnette, Andrew Perez, Alana Perez and Landon Moyer. Ileen is also survived by several sister-in-laws as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by 2 sisters: Shirley Rula, Gertrude Hryina and 4 brothers: George Pisarchick Jr; Anthony Pisarchick, Paul Pisarchick and Don Pisarchick.  Calling hours will be on Thursday, August 19 from 5PM to 8PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 20 at 1:00 PM at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
