Guy Eugene Coder, age 83, a Toby Road Kersey, PA resident, died on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on October 16, 1942 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late Ernest and Octavia Yale Coder. On October 12, 2002 he was married to Irene Gradizzi and she survives. Guy was a graduate of the Brockway Schools, and immediately after graduation he entered the U.S. Airforce. While in the Air Force he was stationed in Greenland and later he served in Michigan. Guy was a Printer by trade and he and Irene were partners in Coder’s Print Shop in Brockway for over 35 years. He was Christian by faith. Guy was a huge racing fan, and he not only loved NASCAR racing, but he actually owned and raced his own car at the former Central PA Speedway (now UMI Motorsports Park) and the former Thunder Mountain Speedway in Knoxdale. He was a fan of all the Pittsburgh sports teams. Guy was a past EMT at Brockway Ambulance. His greatest joy though came from spending time with his grandchildren who he loved dearly. In addition to his wife Irene, he is also survived by 2 sons: Thomas (Donna) Coder of Michigan and Timothy (Holly Mancuso) Coder of Brockport; a step-son Nicholas (Jamie) Brown of Kersey, PA a step-daughter Kate (Terry) Freemer of Brockway; a sister Yvonne Brosky of DuBois, PA; grandchildren: Ryan Coder, Michael Coder, Mathew Coder, Kelsey Jo Freemer, Ethen Brown, Kaley Freemer, Emma Brown and Kyle Freemer. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by brothers Thomas, Raymond, Ernest and Charles Coder. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway with Pastor Ann Fore officiating.
