Greta M. Peters

Greta M. Peters age 89 of Joe Joe Lane Brockport, PA; died on Tuesday October 10, 2023 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois. Born on September 13, 1934 in Garrett’s Run, PA; she was the daughter of the late Myron Lee and Nellie Smith Sharpe. On January 15, 1955 she was married Joseph A. Peters III and he preceded her in death in 1999. Retired, Greta had worked at IPM in Ridgway for 17 years and later at O-I Brockway Glass as a packer for 15 years. She was Methodist by faith, and was a member of the Brockway/Horton Lioness Club. Greta enjoyed playing bingo and building puzzles. She is survived by daughters Joni (Randy) Papa of Brockport; Traci (Calvin) Himes of Brockway; Dawna Jamison of Brockport; Betty Conrad of DuBois and sons Douglas (Bonnie) Peters of Dagus Mines, PA; Joseph Peters also of Brockport; Thomas (Gina) Peters of Westville and Danny Paul Peters of Brandy Camp; 23 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by 2 half sisters Leona Sharpe Smith and Annamae Sharpe Shaner a grandson James J. Jamison and a great granddaughter Sara Catherine Peters.  There will be no public visitation and all services for Greta will be private at the convenience of her family. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Ridgway. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org or Shriners Children’s Hospital at lovetotherescue.org.
