Golda C. Burns

Golda C. Burns age 80 of Stevenson Hill Road Brockway, PA; died on Friday August 12, 2022 at her residence. Born on November 8, 1941 in Brockway, PA; she was the daughter of the late Clair and Martha Shank Munn. On September 22, 1963 she was married to Arthur E. Burns and he preceded her in death on November 17, 2020. Retired Golda had been employed at Brockway Glass as a Packer/Inspector. She was a member of the Beechtree Union Church and a member of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Golda was very creative and artistic, and used this talent throughout her entire life. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by 3 daughters: Gwen (Darren) Carlson of Brockway; Dawn Welsh of Brookville; Mellissa Carr of DuBois; a son Bradley Burns of Brockway; a sister Glenna (Gary) Lockwood also of Brockway and a brother Rick (Linda) Munn of Brockport. Golda is also survived by 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by 2 sisters Beverly Maczaczyj, Melodie Feldman and a brother Kenneth Shank. Calling hours will be on Sunday August 14 from 4PM to 6PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday August 15 at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in the Beechwoods Cemetery.
