Giuseppe "Joe" DiVirgilio

Giuseppe A. “Joe” DiVirgilio age 77 of Rattlesnake Road Brockport, PA; died on Monday May 22, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on January 13, 1946 in Pescara, Italy; he was the son of the late Alfonso and Elide Merlonetti DiVirgilio. On December 3, 1978 he was married to Giuseppa “Josephine” DiIorio and she survives. Retired, he was the co-owner along with his wife of Paesano Pizza in Brockway from 1984 to 1995 and Joe & Josephine Sicilian Pizza in Falls Creek from 2003-2009. Joe was a member of St. Tobias Church in Brockway and enjoyed watching soccer on TV. In addition to his wife he is also survived by 2 sisters: Giacinta DiVirgilio of Pescara, Italy; Anna (Constantino) DiVirgilio of Vasto, Italy; 2 brothers: Francesco (Paola) DiVirgilio also of Pescara and Antonio (Serena) DiVirgilio of Avellino, Italy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother Giovanni DiVirgilio. Visitation will be on Friday, May 26 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 27 at 11:00 AM at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Fr. John Detisch presiding.  Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery in Brockway. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
