Fannie Bart Obituary

 

Fannie Bart, age 87, of Brockport, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, OH. 

Born Faustina Bianca Varischetti on September 13, 1933 in Gorno, Italy. On Nov 14, 1934 she sailed with her father, Pietro Varischetti, on the SS Conte Di Savoia from Geona, Italy and arrived at the Port of New York on Nov 21, 1934. They were traveling to Powhaton Point, OH to see her mother, Irma Tiraboschi Varischetti, whom previously made the trip to set up household in the United States. The family eventually moved to Coal Hollow, PA and then made their home in Brockport, PA. Fannie graduated from Horton High School and first employment was a bookkeeper for Keystone Hardware Store in Ridgway, PA. She later worked as a packer at Brockway Glass, retiring there after 16 years. Fannie married George Bart on May 2, 1953 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Brandy Camp, PA by the Rev. Fr. Raymond Meiers. 

She is survived by her children, Juanita (Bruce) Becker of Perrysburg, OH and Randy Bart of Brockway, PA; six granddaughters, Bianca (Shane) Cloutier, Mariah Becker, Michaela Becker, Mackenzie Bart, Gabrielle Bart, and Demetria Bart; sisters, Theresa Cilladi and Anita (Frank) Genevro; and brother, Dino Varischetti. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Varischetti; and infant granddaughter, Anastozia Bart. Per Fannie’s request, there will be no public viewing. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday, February 20th at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
