Eugene C. “Brownie” Hoffman age 91 of 3rd Avenue Brockway, PA; died on Friday December 25, 2020 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on July 20th 1929 in Brockway, he was the son of the late Curtis and Alfreda Preston Hoffman. Brownie was a 1947 graduate of the Brockway High School. He was married to Genevieve L. “Genny” Flancinski Hoffman and she preceded him in death on October 9, 2017. Retired, Brownie had been employed at O-I Brockway Glass as a machinist for 37 years. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran serving in the 1st Calvary Division, 7th Regiment. He was an avid fly fisherman and hunter and he loved gardening. He was a member of the S.O.I. Club and the Brockway Sportsmen’s Club. He is survived by 2 sons: Stephen Hoffman and Craig (Barbara) Hoffman both of Brockway and a granddaughter Lara Hoffman of Pine Grove Mills, PA. In addition to his parents and his wife he is also preceded in death by a son Curtis Hoffman. There will be no public visitation. A private Funeral Service will be held with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be accorded by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion.
