Ethel V. Claycomb

Ethel Virginia Claycomb age 88 of Horizon Drive Brockway, PA; died on Monday August 19, 2024 at her residence. Born on July 24, 1936 in Reisterstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Brown Brown. Ethel was married to Logan E. Claycomb on September 23, 1972 and he survives. Retired, she had been employed at BI-LO Foods in DuBois. She was a member of the Brockport United Methodist Church. Ethel enjoyed growing flowers, feeding the birds especially hummingbirds, and being together with her family cooking large meals. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by daughters Dorothy Collins of Hanover, PA; Barbara (Christopher) Cherubini of Brockport; a son Kenneth Claycomb of Falls Creek; sisters Nancy Brown of Baltimore, MD; Milly (Alan) Quell of Delaware; brothers Bill (Linda) Brown of Woodbine, MD; Bob Brown also of Baltimore; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a daughter Virginia Jones; a son Billy Price; a granddaughter Darlene Hamm; a sister Betty Edwards and brothers Jimmy and Charlie Brown. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday August 23 at 11:00 AM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway with Rev. Lance Tucker officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. 1033 4th Avenue Brockway, PA 15824 to help defray expenses.
