Ellis A. "Bud" McLaughlin

Ellis A. “Bud” McLaughlin age 75 of Route 28 Brockway, PA; died on Friday November 29, 2024 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on November 12, 1949 in Summerville, PA; he was the son of the late Henry and Ruby Humphrey McLaughlin. On May 16, 1987 he was married to Linda Battitori and she survives. Retired, Bud had been employed at Brockway Glass in the Hot End as an Operator for 23 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. Bud enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Penn State Nittany Lions. In addition to his wife he is also survived by 3 sons Mike (Niki) McLaughlin of Brockway; Neal McLaughlin of Brookville, PA; Kevin McLaughlin of North Carolina; a sister Agnes; and a sister-in-law Judy McLaughlin also of Brookville; grandchildren Nathan (Jada) McLaughlin, Breeanna (Nate) Wall, Teasha (Will) Siple, Bud (Megan) McLaughlin, Shane (Maddie) McLaughlin; Tasha (Tom) Freemer; great grandchildren Sophia Wall, McKinlee Wall, Aubree Siple, Nora Freemer, Sydney Freemer, Peyton McLaughlin, Liam McLaughlin and Owen McLaughlin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by brothers York McLaughlin, Leland McLaughlin and a nephew Mike McLaughlin. All services for Bud will be private at the convenience of his family. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery in Summerville.
