Doyle L. Morris

Doyle L. Morris age 84 of Beechton Road Brockway, PA; died on Thursday November 23, 2023 at his residence. Born on March 17, 1939 in Westville, PA; he was the son of the late Chester and Elizabeth Moore Morris. He was married to Betty Jo Ludwig and she preceded him in death on April 2, 2004. Retired, Doyle had worked in the Hot End at Brockway Glass for 33 years. He was a member of the Beechtree Union Church and served in the U.S. Army. Doyle was a member of the Orient Club, the Falls Creek Eagles Club and the Brockway Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes and gardening. He is survived by a daughter Debbie (Ronald) Troupe of Allens Mills, PA; a son Rick Morris of Westville, 3 grandchildren Patricia (Duane) Mooney, Al (Terri Johns) Galentine, Sheri Fotta; 6 great grandchildren Brad Mooney, Kyle Mooney, Javen Fotta, Tamara O’Brien, Troy O’Brien, Brianna (Alex) Bukouski  and 3 great great grandchildren Haven Mooney, Aubrielle Plotner and Aliyah Bukouski. In addition to his parents and his wife he is also preceded in death by a son Doyle Leroy Morris, a sister Flora Troupe and a brother Ronald Morris. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 28 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 29 at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in the Beechtree Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be accorded by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion Wednesday morning at the cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Hahne Cancer Center 100 Hospital Avenue DuBois, Pa 15801.
