Douglas Timothy “Doug” Palmer age 62 of Brockport, PA; passed away on Tuesday January 28, 2025 at Penn Highlands DuBois after a long and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis requiring a double lung transplant. Born to Edward and Clara Lance Palmer of Kersey on August 17, 1962. Doug was committed to his family, a loving and supportive son, father, grandfather, great grandfather and husband. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as two brothers Dean and Darrell. He is survived by his wife Carol Moody Palmer and his three children Melinda “Mindy” (Rob) Palmer of St Marys, PA; Stephanie (Brian) Ferragine of Bruceton Mills, WV; Sean (Laurie) Palmer of Kersey, PA; brothers Daniel and Damon and sisters Donita Mosier and Dori Palmer. He is also survived by his grandchildren Lyssa, Matthew, Macy, Dominic, Bria and Roman as well as a great grandson Sammual. He is also survived by his beloved cat Riki. Doug dedicated many years to Elco Sintered Alloys, where he took great joy in his work and the camaraderie of his colleagues. A true Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he never missed a chance to cheer for his beloved team proudly wearing his black and gold. Doug had a profound love for the outdoors, cherishing every opportunity to go camping, hunting and fishing with family and friends. In addition to his passion for the outdoors, Doug was a hands-on person who found great satisfaction in working and fixing things in his garage. His skill and dedication to his projects were evident in every creation and repair. Music was another of Doug’s great loves, and he attended countless concerts, where he found immense joy and connection through live performances. Above all, Doug’s greatest joy was the time spent with his family, whether around a campfire or simply enjoying each other’s company. His legacy of love, joy, and adventure will continue to inspire all who knew him.
