Dorothy Reed Obituary

Dorothy Jean Reed, born on November 15, 1949, a former Ridge Road Kersey, PA resident, peacefully passed away surrounded by family and loved ones on June 13, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of the late Robert Cowan and Elizabeth Cowan (Milliron). Dorothy is now reunited with her cherished husband, the late Willam Reed, with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage, exemplifying a lifetime of love and commitment. 

Dorothy was a devoted sister, predeceased by her brothers James “Jim” Cowan and Daniel F. Cowan. She is survived by her brother Thomas Cowan (Evelyn) and her sister Joyce Marando (Tom). Her nurturing spirit and compassionate heart touched the lives of all who knew her.

 
Dorothy, affectionately known as Dot, will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family, and friends. Family was the most important thing to Dot; she opened her heart and home to everyone she loved. Her warmth and generosity were evident in every aspect of her life.

 
She enjoyed crocheting, camping, and boating, hobbies that brought her joy and created cherished memories with her loved ones. Dorothy’s life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her ability to bring warmth and joy to every gathering. 


A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor her memory and the lasting impact she made on their lives. Burial will be in the Ridge Cemetery Kersey, PA.

  
Her memory will forever be cherished, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
