Doris J. Batson

We are saddened to announce that Doris Jane Batson, age 86, entered eternal life on October 14, 2023 with her family watching over her. Her spirit is carried on by her son, Dean (Dawn), grandchildren; Jeremy (Miranda), Allyson (Khye), Megan and Emma. Three beautiful great-grandchildren; Garrett, Winston, and Mateo. An extended family of many very special nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends too numerous to list but not forgotten. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Donald Arthur Batson, 5 sisters: Evelyn, Alice, Virginia, Genevieve, Arlene  and 5 brothers: Carl, Art, Carmen, Ronnie and Leroy. Doris was born in Lanes Mills, PA and moved to Falls Creek after marrying her husband, Don, where they raised their wonderful “busy” son, Dean. She worked in the Brockway Glass factory for over 30 years, proudly beating Don to retirement, and quick to point it out.  Her family and friends were the most important part of her life. She cherished each one of them, she was the constant center for us all. She will be sorely missed and forever remembered. We love you dearly Mom and Nanny. She was a member of Lanes Methodist Church. Visitation will be on Friday October 20 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM with Evangelist Paul Morelli officiating. Burial will be in the Wildwood Cemetery in Brockway. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice. online condolences may be left at csfhinc.com
