Donna J. Boyer

Donna Jean Boyer age 92 of Route 219 Brockport, PA; died on Saturday February 24, 2024 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on January 16, 1932 in DuBois, PA; she was the daughter of the late Earl and Inez Wolfgang Kessler. Donna was married to Gerald W. “Ike” Boyer and he preceded her in death on April 24, 2003. Retired, she had been employed at Brockway Glass for 32 years as an Over Inspector. Donna attended the Lutheran Church in DuBois, and enjoyed volunteering her time at the DuBois Nursing Home for many years. She also served as a volunteer cook at both the Friendship Hose Co. and the Sandy Twp. Vol. Fire Department in past years. She also enjoyed camping. Donna is survived by a son Earl “Butch” (Cindy) Boyer of Brockport; a brother Richard (Joyce) Kessler of Florida; and a grandson Earl (Kayla) Boyer Jr. of State College, PA. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a brother Calvin Kessler. There will be no public visitation and a private Funeral Service will be held with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Gateway Humane Society PO Box 678 Falls Creek, PA 15840.
