Donald D. Steele

Donald Dean “Don” Steele age 81 of W. Washington Avenue DuBois, PA died on Thursday November 25, 2021 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born on June 2, 1940 in DuBois, PA he was the son of the late Albert and Ramona Horm Steele. Over the years Don had been employed at several locations, first at Brockway Glass, the DuBois Creamery and retired from the former Penn Traffic warehouse also in DuBois. He was a long time member of the Beechwoods Presbyterian Church. In his younger years he enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. Most summer afternoons he could be found in the park in DuBois watching the ball games. Don also enjoyed walking daily and visiting with everyone. He also was an avid Steeler and Pirate fan. Don is survived by a sister Norma Jean Snyder of DuBois; a half sister Linda Miller of Brookville; a half brother Denny Steele also of Brookville and a nephew Willard Snyder also of DuBois. Friends will be received on Tuesday November 30 from 10AM to 11AM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM also at the funeral home with Pastors Dave and Emily Koehler officiating. Burial will follow in the Beechwoods Cemetery. Donations in memory of may be made to the Beechwoods Presbyterian Church 14 Beechwood Road Falls Creek, PA 15840.
