Donald D. Rogos

Donald Dean Rogos age 91 of Brockway, PA; passed away at his home on Friday July 13, 2018. Born on August 2, 1926 in Braceville, Ohio; he was the son of the late John and Josephine Cheslock Rogos. He was married to Ida June King in 1948 and she survives. They enjoyed 70 years of marriage. Don was Catholic by faith and attended the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Brockway. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II as a Sergeant in the Infantry in both Belgium and Germany. Upon returning home, he came to Brockway working for his brother at Smith & Rogos Coal Company until building Rogos Auto Service in 1960. He took pride in his work and was known near and far as being able to repair any car that had a problem, and he passed this knowledge onto his son Tim. He took up golfing when he was 60 years old and spent many happy hours on the course with his friends at the Brockway Golf Course. In addition to his wife he is also survived by his loving children Joanne Rogos of Glen Dale, West Virginia; Linda (David) Petak of N. Potomac, Maryland; Donna Jean (David) Kadar of Olmstead Falls, Ohio and Tim (Jennifer) Rogos of Brockway. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Kyle, Casey, Corby, Kelly, Lindsay, Ashley, Jacob, Jared, Stormie and Ronnie; 9 great grandchildren: Kage, Kinsley, Kleyton, Kolter, Kyler, Mark, Liam, Brady and Cody. In addition to his parents his is also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 6 sisters. A private Funeral Service will be held with Rev. Tom Henretty officiating. Burial will be in the Beechwoods Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be accorded by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion.
