Diana Lynn Kost

Diana Lynn Kost age 75 a resident at the DuBois Nursing Home, died on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Born on January 30, 1951 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and E. Jean Feldman Puhala. She was married to Steven Kost, and he preceded her in death on November 6, 2003. Retired, Diana had been employed at the former Dubois Regional Medical Center, now Penn Highlands DuBois, as an LPN, from 1982 until her retirement in 2017. She was a parishioner at Trinity Lutheran Church in DuBois. Diana was an Emergency Medical Technician spanning decades with both the Brockway and the Sykesville Ambulance Associations. Diana also loved all animals, owning many dogs and regularly donating to many animal shelters and service organizations. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter Traci (Mike) McGillicuddy of Annadale, VA; a son David Town of Cranberry Twp, PA; sisters Ruth Joy Keister and Peggy Thompson both of Brockway and brothers George (Sandy) Puhala and Joseph (Frances) Puhala also both of Brockway; 5 grandchildren Julian Town, Nicholas Town, Katie McGillicuddy, Michael McGillicuddy and Neve McGillicuddy. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a son Gregory Allen Town and a brother Tommy Puhala. Visitation will be Thursday, February 12 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 13 at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home, with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Sykesville.
