David "Gabby" McLaughlin

David O. “Gabby” McLaughlin age 81 of Wood Street Brockway, PA; died on Monday June 13, 2022 at his residence. Born on August 9, 1940 in Ridgway, PA; he was the son of the late Quinn and Helen Winslow McLaughlin. On August 27, 1961 he was married to Marjorie Pendleton and she survives.  Gabby had been a truck driver for over 30 years and retired from Preston Trucking.  He was a member of the Lanes Mills United Methodist Church. Gabby was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion, Eagles Club, Horton Sportsmen’s Club and was a member of Teamsters Union 261. He enjoyed hunting, traveling, talking politics and most of all spending time with his family. In addition to his wife he is also survived by 4 daughters: Pamela (Richard) Patton of Falls Creek, PA; Marsha (Tom) Roswick of Liberty, NC; Gwendolyn (Robert) Mihalcin of Sharpsville, PA; Deborah (Tony) Clark of Cortland, Ohio; 2 sons: Quinn (Mary) McLaughlin of Shippensburg, PA and Jeremy McLaughlin of San Francisco, CA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a daughter Kimberly Miller and a brother Donald W. McLaughlin.  Calling hours will be on Wednesday, June 15 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 16  at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Roswick officiating. Burial will follow in the Beechwoods Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or to the charity of the donors choice.
