Darlene Y. Pontious

Darlene Y. Pontious age 77 of Church Avenue Brockway, PA; died on Wednesday December 28, 2022 at Highland View Health Care in Brockway. Born on April 4, 1945 in Ridgway, PA; she was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Ruth Parks Lewis. Darlene was married to Howard Pontious and he preceded her in death on June 8, 2019. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lighthouse Community Church in Brockway. Darlene also was a TOPS Club and Brockway Homemakers Club member and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crafts and crafting, crocheting and building jig saw puzzles. She is survived by a son Kevin (Ellie) Pontious of Brockway; a daughter Tracy Pontious of Brockway; a son Larry Pontious of Reynoldsville and a son Allen Pontious also of Brockway; a brother Roy (Maryann) “Butch” Lewis of Brockport; 7 grandchildren: LeRoy Pontious, Mimi Wang, Mathew Pontious, Nathan Pontious, Ethan Freemer, Ashleigh Pontious and Madison Pontious. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren Sophia Pontious, Micah Pontious and Ryker Pontious. Calling hours will be on Friday December 30 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will follow at 1 PM with Rev. Dr. Victor Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville.
