Daniel A. Bundy III age 59 of Scotland Street Dagus Mines, PA; died on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born on May 5, 1962 in Ridgway, PA; he was the son of the late Daniel A. and Diane M. Shutika Bundy Jr. He was married to Donna Piccirillo Bundy of Ridgway and she survives. Retired, Daniel had been employed as a Gauge Calibration Technician and he also worked in the Tool Shop at the former Metaldyne, now AAM Metal Forming in Ridgway. He was a member at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Ridgway. Daniel was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, especially archery hunting and fishing. In his back yard he had a miniature farm complete with chickens, ducks, turkeys and even a pond stocked with Koi fish. Daniel loved to take his sister and his nieces and nephews out to the trout streams and show them the best lures to use to catch the different types of trout there are, as well as the elusive native trout. He also enjoyed taking his dog Phoebe out hunting and at other times for long walks. One of his other enjoyments was collecting and refurbishing antique furniture. Back in his younger days he enjoyed playing softball. He also was an avid gardener. He is survived by a daughter Jordan Bundy of Ridgway; 2 sons: Joshua Bundy and Zachary Bundy both of Ridgway; 2 sisters: Gloria Bundy of Brandy Camp; Denise (Greg Ewing) Buhler of Mt. Jewett, PA; and a brother Dave (Darla) Bundy also of Ridgway. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother Donald Bundy. Calling hours will be on Thursday, August 19 from 5PM to 8PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 20 at 10AM at St. Boniface Church in Kersey with Fr. Ross Miceli presiding. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
